PIG POPULATION GROWTH

The pig farming sub-sector is currently one of the drivers of increasing meat production in Russia. The main growth is provided by the industrial sector, which accounted for 89.2% last year. For ten months, the production of pigs in the organized sector increased by 7.8% to 4.3 million tons (in live weight), the livestock increased by 6%. The dynamics is due to the technical modernization of enterprises and the implementation of new investment projects - the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation
