MEAT ON PAUSE. IN APRIL, THE PLANTS DID NOT GIVE ENOUGH

Meat production in Russia. The index of food production in the April 2022/2021 pair was 98%. In the January-April 2022/2021 pair, the index was 101.9%.

In January-April 2022, meat processing plants in Russia released 1.1 million tons of cattle, pork, lamb, venison and other artiodactyls to the market. In the January-April 2022/2021 pair, the dynamics of meat production was +7.4%. In dynamics, by April 2021, meat production in April 2022 increased by 8.7%. But by March of this year it fell by 5.1%.

For meat and poultry offal. Poultry farms produced 1.7 million tons of meat in 4 months of 2021. The dynamics in January-April y/y was +7.5%, in the April y/y pair it lost to artiodactyl meat and showed an increase of 4.2%.
