FLOUR MILLS ARE PAUSED. PRODUCTION SLOWS

Flour production in Russia. During the period from January to May of this year, flour mills produced 3.2 million tons of wheat and wheat-rye flour, of which 623 thousand tons were produced in May.

Paired May 2021/2020 total flour production fell by 4%. At the same time, prices for flour for the compared period increased by 4.5%. It should be noted that the export of flour a month earlier, in April, decreased by 55.2%, amounting to 15.6 thousand tons.

In the May / April 2021 pair, the production index decreased by 7.4%.

From the beginning of the year to May 2021, flour production decreased by 10.1% compared to the same period last year. @agrorisk
