Producer price indices for crop production. According to preliminary data, in March 2021, the price index for plant breeders relative to February of this year amounted to 99.8% versus 103% in animal husbandry and 101.7% in agriculture as a whole.
In total, in the first quarter of 2021, plant growers raised prices by 6.1%. If you look at the past year, the pace has increased by 2.3%.
In the first three months of this year, breeders' prices grew smoothly around 2% per month. The growth peaked in February (+ 3.6% to the price in January).
In dynamics, by March 2020, the prices of plant breeders soared by 33%. All crop production in a pair Q1 2021/2020 has risen in price by 32.8%.
The first violin in the dynamics of the rise in prices was made by the producers of potatoes and sunflower seeds. @agrorisk
