The article presents an approach to the decomposition of the main blocks of the monitoring system of land resources of the Krasnodar Territory and the results obtained during the implementation of the geographic information system on the example of the Krasnodar Territory in 2010-2012. The author reveals the peculiarities of organizing monitoring of agricultural lands.
