CARROT ASSAULT. CONSUMER PRICE INDEX FOR JUNE 1-7, 2021

Consumer price index in Russia. For the period from 1 to 7 June 2021, the index was 100.16%, from the beginning of June-100.16%, from the beginning of the year – 103.65%. A year ago in June, the index was 100.22%, since the beginning of the year – 102.63%.

During the period, prices increased: for lamb and buckwheat groats – by 0.7%, margarine – by 0.6%, pasteurized milk, frozen fish, cookies-by 0.4%, semi-smoked and boiled-smoked sausages, canned meat and fruit and berry for baby food, caramel-by 0.3%. For beef, boiled sausages, bread and bakery products made of wheat flour of grades 1 and 2, canned vegetables for baby food, chocolate candies, lunches in canteens, cafes, and snack bars (except for canteens in organizations) - by 0.2%. For pork, sour cream, rye bread, vermicelli, milk powder mixtures for baby food – by 0.1%.

Prices for sunflower oil increased by 0.3%. In 40 regions of the Russian Federation, prices increased by 0.1-0.9%, in 14 regions-by 1.0-2.9%. Prices have not changed in 22 regions. In 9 regions, prices decreased by 0.1-1.2%.

Prices for sugar increased by 0.2%, including in 30 subjects of the Russian Federation – by 0.1-0.9%, in 8 subjects - by 1.0-2.2%. In 31 subjects of the Russian Federation, prices did not change. In 10 subjects, prices for sugar decreased by 0.1-0.6%, in 6 subjects-by 0.7-2.9%.

Prices for chicken meat did not change, while in 24 subjects of the Russian Federation increased by 0.1-0.4%, in 13 subjects-by 0.5-2.4%. In 12 subjects, prices did not change. In 22 subjects, prices for chicken meat decreased by 0.1-0.5%, in 14 subjects-by 0.6-1.7%.

Chicken eggs fell by 4.1%, including in 16 regions of the Russian Federation – by 0.1-2.5%, in 54 regions-by 2.6-9.0%, in 9 regions - by 9.1-22.1%. In the Magadan Region and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, prices for chicken eggs have not changed. In 4 subjects, chicken eggs rose in price by 0.1-1.4%.

Prices for fruit and vegetable products increased by an average of 0.3%. The record price growth is shown by carrots-an increase of 5.9%. Potatoes rose in price – by 4.9%, white cabbage-by 3.9%, onions - by 1.6%. Prices for cucumbers decreased by 6.1%, tomatoes-by 4.7%.

Prices for butter, fat cottage cheese, pasta decreased by 0.2%, sausages, sausages, sterilized milk, wheat flour, millet, black tea, vodka-by 0.1%. @agrorisk
