Monitoring of agricultural land in the development of agricultural policy and land management in Russia

The author considers the peculiarities of the implementation of the state function for the implementation of state monitoring of agricultural lands. Risks of food security of the Russian Federation from the knowledge of the state and use of agricultural lands are emphasized. Possible key performance indicators are described, which are proposed for accounting when finalizing the system of state monitoring of agricultural lands. The hypothesis about the expediency of establishing a specialized state organization for the management and disposal of agricultural lands is introduced for consideration.
