The Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union (CAP) provides support to farmers, agricultural sectors and rural areas, including the fight against climate change. The 2021 reform adopted by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union is aimed at modernizing and simplifying the CAP for planning for 2023-2027. The budget allocated for the purposes of the CAP within the framework of the national strategic plan during this period amounts to more than 45 billion euros in the form of European loans. Market measures, as well as measures taken within the framework of the Special Agricultural Assistance Program for Overseas Territories (POSEI), planned outside the national strategic plan, complement the mechanism of European support for French agriculture – the French Ministry of Agriculture
