Practice-oriented training as a driver of digital agriculture development.
From October 24 to 26, 2022, trainings on the topic "Practice-oriented approaches to digitalization of the educational process" in the "Agriculture" industry were held in Timiryazevka. The Department of Applied Informatics held a visionary lecture.
The grand opening of the trainings was held by Elena Vasilyevna Khokhlova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the University. The Vice-Rector noted that a rich business program has been prepared for the participants, including master classes in key centers and laboratories of Timiryazevka.
In order to transfer the experience of the University, a Strategic session was held for the participants on the topic "Transformation of higher agricultural education. Practice-oriented training as a driver of digital agriculture development". The invited speakers were Alexandra Vasilyevna Shitikova, Head of the Department of Plant Growing and Meadow Ecosystems, Elena Viktorovna Khudyakova, Head of the Department of Applied Informatics, and Oleg Alekseevich Motorin, Head of the Digital Department.
The participants were presented approaches to the organization of the digital department, hypotheses about the transformation of traditional education models, the emergence of new requirements and players in the educational market of digitalization of agriculture.
Further, the participants took master classes at the Educational and Scientific Center for Collective Use "Service Laboratory for Complex Analysis of Chemical Compounds", the Vegetable Breeding and Seed Center, the V.A. Mikhelson Meteorological Observatory, the Equestrian Sports Complex, to get acquainted with the experience of organizing the work of the Federal Competence Center and the Engineering Center. They worked with practical modeling skills and the use of digital technologies in agronomy and veterinary medicine, piloting quadrocopters and took part in more than 15 training events.
