BIRD SLASH. RETURNS THE SHARE OF THE MEAT MARKET

Livestock products in agricultural organizations in Russia. Paired May 2021/2020 in agricultural organizations (AHOs), the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter (in live weight) increased by 2.5%; milk increased by 0.5%, and egg production - by 2.4%.

Milk yield in agricultural enterprises (excluding SMP) per 1 cow in January-May 2021 amounted to 3186 against 3063 kg of the same period in 2020. The egg production of laying hens in agricultural enterprises (excluding SMP) is 130 eggs against 128 pieces a year ago.

For January-May 2021 in the structure of livestock and poultry production for slaughter (in live weight) there has been a shift in the proportion in favor of the production of poultry for slaughter compared to the same period in 2020.

So, in May, the share of cattle was fixed at 8.5%, pigs - 39.8%. The share of poultry farming exceeded 51.5%.

By types. Production and dynamics in pair May 2021/2020 were: cattle - 86.7 thousand tons (+ 13%), pigs - 407.3 thousand tons (+ 3.6%), poultry - 526.7 thousand tons (+ 0.2%). @agrorisk
