Agricultural retail markets in Russia. In April 2021, retail trade turnover by 95.7% was formed by trading organizations and individual entrepreneurs operating outside the market. The share of retail markets and fairs was 4.3% (in April 2020 - 96.0% and 4.0%, respectively).
The number of retail markets continues to decline. As of April 1, 2021, 898 retail markets functioned on the territory of the Russian Federation, which is 60 markets less than on the same date of the previous year. These remaining markets account for 234.7 thousand retail outlets. Since April 1, 2020, 12.9 thousand shopping places have gone into oblivion.
As of April 1, 2021, 233 agricultural and agricultural cooperative markets were functioning, of which 142 markets or 60.9% of the total were located in capital buildings and structures (as of April 1, 2020 - 61.0%).
The level of actual use of trading places in agricultural and food markets as of April 1, 2021, on average in the Russian Federation, was at the level of 51%. An increase of 2% on the same date in 2020. @agrorisk
