SEA FISH PRODUCTION DECREASED BY 14%

Fish and other fishery products in Russia. In May 2021, the production of fish and other fishery products totaled 70.4 against 95.8 thousand tons in April.

The catch of sea fish in May went in different directions and amounted to: live - 14.9 against 12.2 thousand tons in April, fresh or chilled -46.6 against 73.3 thousand tons, unfrozen crustaceans - 4.9 against 3.8 thousand tons Freshwater fish catch: live - 0.7 against 1.3 thousand tons, fresh or chilled - 3.3 against 5.2 thousand tons.

In dynamics, by May 2020, the extraction of fish resources increased: for sea fish by 18%, for freshwater fish - by 12%. The crustacean harvest continued to grow by 16%.

Paired January-May 2021/2020 the catch of crustaceans increased by 35%, for sea fish the decline decreased from -7.4% to -2.4%, for freshwater fish - the dynamics came out to plus 2%. @agrorisk
