VEGETABLE DISSONANCE. PRICES IN RETAIL LIVE THEMSELVES

Producer price index for crop production in Russia. In the June / May 2021 pair, the price index for plant breeders was 98.9% versus 99.2% in animal husbandry and 99.1% in agriculture as a whole.

In total, for the first half of 2021, plant breeders raised prices by 9.6%. If you look at the past year, the pace has increased by 4.7%.

In dynamics, by June 2020, the prices of plant breeders for certain types and groups of agricultural products increased by 31.9%. All crop production in pairs I half of 2021/2020 has risen in price by 32.9%.

Since the beginning of the year, the leaders of the rise have not changed: the producers of sunflower seeds have increased their selling prices for six months - by 21.3%, potatoes by 19.6%. Seeds are growing steadily and since June 2020 have increased in the selling price of farmers by 81.7%.

Vegetables show a negative growth in prices for growers. In the June / May 2021 pair, producer vegetable prices fell 19.6%. However, this did not affect the June and July retail prices. @agrorisk
