PRICE RELAY. LIVESTOCK ADDES VALUE

Producer price index of livestock products in Russia. In the May / April 2021 pair, the price index for livestock breeders was 100.4% versus 99.6% in crop production and 100.1% in agriculture as a whole.

In total, in January-May 2021, livestock breeders raised prices by 9% versus 6.9% for plant breeders. If you look at last year, the increase was 10.9% (from 98.1%) versus 1.8% in crop production (105.1%).

In dynamics, by May 2020, livestock breeders' prices for certain types and groups of agricultural products increased by 16.1%. All livestock products in pairs January-May 2021/2020 has risen in price by 12.5%.

For certain types of livestock products in a pair January-May 2021/2020 there is a significant increase in selling prices for producers of fresh chicken eggs - by 32.9%, poultry - by 10%, as well as pig farms - by 25%. Sheep and goat products remain unchanged in selling prices. @agrorisk
