COUNTRY OF CUTTING LOGGING

Logging in Russia. In June 2021, the production of certain types of logging products amounted to 9.3 against 6.5 million cubic meters in May (+2.8 million cubic meters).

The structure of production in the June / May 2021 pair was as follows: coniferous timber - 5.6 versus 4.0 million cubic meters or + 38%, hardwood timber (except tropical species) - 2.8 versus 1.8 million cubic meters or +57 %.

In terms of fuel wood, it is Gazprom's main competitor in rural areas. The volume of its procurement was (June to May) - 0.9 against 0.7 million cubic meters or + 29.8%.

Compared to June 2020, the volume of softwood harvesting fell by 5.5%. Deciduous trees were cut with an increase of 2.3%. Fuel wood harvesting had a negative growth of 1.5%.

May export of domestic timber amounted to $ 98 million, imports - $ 4.1 million. @agrorisk
