Livestock production in Russia. In the first quarter of 2021, farms of all categories, according to Rosstat, produced eggs - 10.4 billion pieces, milk - 6.9 million tons. Livestock and poultry for slaughter (in live weight) produced 3.5 million tons.
In March of this year, farms of all categories showed a plus in dynamics compared to February: they produced 3.7 billion eggs (+ 16.9%), 2.5 million tons of milk (+ 17%). The dynamics of livestock and poultry for slaughter (in live weight) did not catch up with milk and eggs, although it also turned out to be positive: 1.2 million tons were produced (+ 9.6%).
As for the dynamics by March 2020, beef and eggs have won back by -1.1% and -0.3%, respectively. Milk came out with a small margin of + 1.3%.
Couple I quarter 2021/2020 the values for the current year also lag behind: -2.2% (livestock and poultry), -2.4% (eggs), + 1% (milk). @agrorisk
