The article-lecture examines the features of production management associated with living organisms - plants and farm animals. It is assumed that there are two types of production management: industrial and agricultural. The substantiation of the application of engineering and technical systems in agricultural production is given. Examples of intensive technologies in crop and livestock production are given.
