The review presents the provisions of a new textbook on the development and implementation of technical systems in the agro-industrial complex. The authors of the textbook reveal the concepts and provisions for managing the process of creating technical systems, the essence of the system and program-targeted approach, organizational measures necessary for the formation of information support, substantiating the technical and time parameters of such systems. The author's approach to describing the methods of making managerial decisions at all stages of the system's life cycle is proposed.
