The strictest biosecurity measures are being introduced for all French poultry farms to prevent the virus from entering farms and avoiding its spread between farms. The same recommendations apply to private owners of household and ornamental birds. Due to the increased level of risk, the veterinary services of France will be required to check compliance with the measures applied. A deduction from compensation for poultry will also be applied in case of breeders' non–compliance with the current rules - The Ministry of Agriculture of France
