This article is devoted to the analysis of individual components of the state of the food market in Russia. The analysis of the current state of vegetable production, analysis of the import of fresh fruits is presented. The balance of production and consumption of vegetables and melons is analyzed, regions with a surplus and deficit of production of vegetables and melons of the Russian Federation are identified.
