The article examines the problems and prospects of the fat-and-oil industry, as well as the factors of increasing the export potential. Measures to improve the efficiency of the industry in countries such as China, Iran, India and measures of state support and economic stimulation of the development of the industry in Russia are considered. The goals of a special sectoral program to support the export of oilseeds are determined.
