The article examines the specifics of potato production in the Russian Federation, identifies the zones of potato cultivation based on a varied climate. The presented information on prices, indicators of foreign trade in potatoes allows us to identify the leading regions and draw the dependence of the price of potatoes on the share of domestic and imported products in the regional market.
